Our themed, perennial gardens add year-round beauty to our space and provide great natural phenomena to use in teaching. While fruits and veggies are terrific, these gardens add even more depth to our program.
Pollinator Garden
This garden features plants that attract butterflies, bees, birds and more! Kids love the vining passionflower.
California Grows!
This garden features a slope of artichokes, yarrow, yucca. We also grow strawberries and garlic.
Fire-Safe Garden
This garden features fire-resistant plants, relevant as our school is in a high wildfire danger zone.
Five Senses Garden
This garden features plants to appeal to sight, touch, taste, smell and hearing. It's located in our primary garden.
Native Plants Garden
We have a couple native plant areas in our large garden. Along the main staircase and at the field fence and entrance, too.
Monarch Waystation
Located in our primary garden, this space provides nectar and host plants for the Monarch butterflies. It's also a certified way station.
Succulent Slope
All school gardens need succulents! They are easy to grow and great to have on hand for crafts and plant sales.
Primary Garden
This garden especially for our 1st and 2nd graders. Its right outside the 1st grade rooms and features 7 raised beds.
